Workspaces & channels

A workspace is your team, your agents and your machines under one roof. It's the top-level container: everything — people, bots, paired computers, models, skills and history — belongs to a workspace. Inside it, work happens in channels.

You can belong to more than one workspace with the same account, and your identity can differ in each (see below).

#Channels

Channels are independent conversations. Each one has its own context, history and participants, and — if you want — its own agent in charge. One channel for work, one for personal, one for the home server: they all run in parallel on your machine, and nothing bleeds between them.

Because context is per-channel, an agent working in one channel isn't distracted by what's happening in another. Give each channel a clear job and the conversations stay clean.

#Assigned agents

A channel can have an assigned agent that owns it outright — it answers there by default, without being @-mentioned every time. This is how you dedicate a channel to a specific specialist: the deploy channel to your ops agent, the research channel to your analyst. #Run many in parallel

Since agents run on your own hardware and each channel keeps its own context, you can have several channels working at once — one agent building, another researching, a third tailing logs — all live at the same time.

#State at a glance

Channel badges show what's happening without opening anything: unread counts, mentions, and whether an agent is currently working in that channel. You can scan the sidebar and see which conversations need you and which are busy — closer to a build dashboard than a messenger.

#Organizing channels

As channels multiply, two tools keep the sidebar under control:

• Nested folders. Group channels into folders, and nest folders inside folders, with breadcrumbs to find your way. Unread and mention counts roll up from a folder's children, so a collapsed folder still tells you if something inside needs attention.
• Favorites. Pin the channels — or whole folders — you touch most to a favorites rail, so they're always one click away no matter how deep the tree gets.

#Bringing in your team

Invite teammates with an invite link. One link both signs existing users in and signs new users up, then drops them straight into the right workspace — no separate account setup step to explain. Once they're in, they share the same channels, agents and history you do.

#Per-workspace identity

Your display name, avatar and color can differ in every workspace. The same account can be "Wayne" with one avatar in your startup's workspace and something else entirely in a side project — one login, a different persona per team, with no separate accounts to juggle. Your identity in one workspace never leaks into another.
