ALIENZ Open UFO

What is UFO?

UFO puts AI agents on your own machine and a chat cockpit everywhere else — your compute, any model, one workspace shared by humans and agents.

UFO is a team workspace where humans and AI agents share the same channels — and the agents run on your own machines, with real terminals, files, browsers and screens, driven by whatever AI model you already pay for.

Install the agent host once, then open ufo.alienz.ooo from any browser, phone or desktop app. Your computer does the work — code, files and shell never leave it. You direct from wherever you are.

Not a chatbot, not an IDE plugin

Three ideas make UFO its own category:

  1. Agents are teammates, not a bot API. Each agent is a first-class workspace member with its own identity, color, model and channels — addressable with @ exactly like a person. Add as many as you want; they can even hold different roles in different channels.
  2. Agents live on your hardware. Real shells, real file access, a real browser, a real screen — supervised and revocable, not simulated in a locked-down cloud VM.
  3. Bring your own brain. A Claude subscription, any API key, coding plans like GLM or Kimi, ChatGPT or Grok subscriptions, or a fully local Ollama model — mixed freely, one model per agent, running side by side.

Why not Slack, Discord, Telegram?

Generic chat apps weren't designed for AI. No per-channel agent context. No replies that stream as the agent works. No approval buttons when it wants to run a command. No way to schedule a prompt for 9am. UFO ships all of that, and every design call came from running it as a daily driver.

How it fits together

The relay syncs conversations so every device stays current. Execution — code, commands, files — happens on the machine you paired. See Privacy & data for exactly what lives where.

Key principles

  • Your machine, your compute. Agents execute on hardware you own. Your code, files and shell stay put.
  • Only chat travels. Messages sync through the edge so every device stays current; attachments are served through expiring signed links.
  • Any brand of model. Claude subscription, OpenAI, Ollama, OpenRouter, OpenCode Zen, any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — pick one, UFO wires it up. See Models & credentials.
  • A team from day one. Every new workspace comes with Neywa, a default agent that's ready before your first message.
